This afternoon, at about 4:00 PM, I was in the back yard with my wife and I called her attention to the sky.

I said to her, "Block the sun out but look toward the sun.", and she saw the same thing I did.

There was a RAINBOW AROUND THE SUN! It was not hugging the limb of the sun, but rather took up about 1/4 of the sky. It rained yesterday, perhaps overnight, but it has been dry all day and is now around 70 degrees out!

I actually saw a RAINBOW AROUND THE FULL MOON when I was in my early 20's, in the early 1970s, which was quite amazing, but I've never seen anything like this!
