Eating: Some westerny steaky thingy from Carls. Drinking: A huge rootbeer because the whole damn place was out of Coke. Thinking... Today is the firs day I actually made a concious effor to wear red white and blue. Red shirt, white shoes, and blue jeans. My upbringing and religion I was brought up with caused me to never be very patriotic, and actually looked down on that sort of thing, thinking it was sacreligios to put faith or have pride in anything but god, and not have much associated with your country. It hasn't been until the recent couple of years that I've really started to notice that that there have been some pretty radical views that I grew up with that aren't exactly practical or correct, or even work with my life anymore. I've never had a political stand, on anything, all my life, until recently. It was always engrained in me to stay perfectly neutral. I really must say that I am now at a point where I'm really beginning to form political viewpoints and stands. Still not sure what they are, but give me a break, I'm just starting. Besides, this is even beyond patriotism, it's about caring for people and remembering our loss. Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
