2001-12-21 1:51 PM Christmas time is the time... Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: Contemplative So, I double booked my weekend, as I often do, and haven't the foggiest idea what I will really wind up doing for it, or exactly what I will be doing for Christmas for that matter.
Still gettin the hang of this whole Christmas thing. Never really ever did anything for Christmas up till last year. Realizing only now that in roder to have had gifts from 1800flowers.comn to be guaranteed delivery by the 24th, they would have had to have been ordered by 1pm EST today. At least Erik's family, who I absolutely adore, will get their gifts on time. I prolly speant too much money on them but they did a lot for us last year when we went up to visit them over Christmas last year. Still have never sent out cards or anything. Have received two, one from Kenny :) and one from Cindy, my aunt on my dad's side whom I only barely met last year when my dad passed away :( She's had a hard year, so I wanted to get something to her in time but it's gonna be late. So whoever said that Christmas brings out the joy and cheer in everyone did not take my lovely little gaming group into consideration. *sigh* A certain member who shall remain nameless (but who also keep journals) has not only misinterpreted something I said and did, but has resorted to being (now, this is my opionion and I'm not calling them these things because I wouldn't want to cause undue friction or problems in the organization) an ass in general, a dick to others involved, and a pompass idiot in general reference to how the world works according to them. I don't get offended easily, but the fact that this could have happened, that it was reacted to in such a manner, and then totally and outright acted as if nothing ever happened and all was normal when they did see me, was downright lame. Two words. Grow Up! I'll be more specific if it gets to the point where it would even matter or is worth thr trouble discussing. No need to stew over anything really. But back to Christmas. I've come to realize that in general, I tend to be a very generous person in my gift giving. Even though I took my b/f to New York, I'm still always on the lookout for cool stuff that he's like as gifts. And I like to get people cool stuff, not just trite stuff. I've always been like that. :) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
