2002-01-02 1:13 PM Ringing it in! Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: that New Year feeling New years eve was pretty cool. Took my boyfriend and buddies to a friend's party, which turned out to be at a HUGE house up in the Hollywood Hills. This place was amazing, huge rooms, several stories, neighbors very far away, it was gorgeous. The party was mostly Ren Faire people, many of which I didn't know but there were many familiar faces and good friends there. The boys took a while warming up to everyone, but it was either this or a Cam party and the general feeling was that it was time to do something different. And thus began nekkid hot tub party numba two! The biggest thing that I like about this croud is that everyone is really nice to each other, noone is really very catty, and everyone is just accepting of each other and just like to hang out and talk. The night was mainly just that, even in the hot tub, just everyone talking about all sorts of random stuff. Not much about people talking about themselves or other people, just about stuff. I enjoyed myself a lot. So, got home about 4am, went to Disneyland the next morning, I was up at 7, no problem, insomnia comes in handy again. Hung with Kody and Jenny (a very pregnant Jenny) at D-land and Califormina Disney. Talked a lot about random stuff, Kody wanted me to catch him up on random people up here that he's lost track of. It was all very cool. Haunted Mansion was still decked out in Nightmare Before Christmas stuff, and for the most part the parks were not very crowded. Disneyland is still very decked out with Christmas stuff and very pretty. Afterwards, we took Frank to see the IMAX version of Beauty and the Beast, with the new song and scenes. It was awesome. They re-shot it for IMAX and wow, I noticed a lot of detail that isn't as apparent otherwise. It was Franks' birthday, so we figured we'd go and do somethin cool. Besides, leaving Disneyland early isn't a big deal when ya got a season pass. Later that day, not only did I find out that Janel was gettin married, but that she asked me to be a bridesmaid. It's gonna be so cool! It's not till next year, and it's gonna be on the east coast in Florida. I've got plenty of time to plan for that. So, all in all, lookin forward to the new year. Resolutions are as follows: More jornal entries Less fast food and more real food Spend more time reading, writing, doing art stuff, and working out. Work out more and actually use the equiptment, dvds and videos that I have purchased over the past coupla years to do so. Spend less time in front of TV (although this is gonna be really difficult due to the fact that the TV is huge and my studio apartment is just that, so pretty much anywhere in my place is "in front" of my TV, okay, done being a smartass) Spend more time with the friends that I have kinda neglected spending time with. I've speant much of last year pre-occupied with stuff and way too busy and caught up in the same old routines. So my resolutions aren't far off from the standard ones. (Not gonna stop drinkin soda, or having candy, or anythin too drastic) Cheers All! BTW - A bottle of champagne is best when shared (Although not too bad all by yourself either) :) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
