2002-04-26 3:32 PM Know what you're drinking? Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: Contemplative So, I was really tired, and I have a long evening and weekend ahead of me (gamer campout). I went downstairs and got a Red Bull. I don't drink this often at all, but as I started drinking it, I looked at the label and realized that I am ingesting many ingredients that I have no clue about.
So I looked them up: PYRIDOXINE HCL: used to prevent and to treat vitamin B6 deficiency, Although pyridoxine was previously considered nontoxic even at high dosages, current evidence indicates that chronic administration of large dosages for the management of various conditions can cause *severe adverse neurologic effects* INOSITOL: Uses not currently included in the labeling approved by the US Food and Drug Administration. (Some of the other ingredients came up with this) Along with these searches, for the other ingredients such as glucuronolactone, are several articles which have warnings about drinks with this stuff in them. So, back to water for me. And now for something completely different The Apocalypse Drinking Game. Stay tuned, I have some entries that are on my PDA, which is currently not charging like it should. 300 bucks... You'd think I could use it for over one week without having something go wrong. I'll have those uploaded ASAP. Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
