2002-05-12 5:08 PM Time Flies Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: Contemplative Sunday, middle of the month, and here I am staying home and working on work (documentation for my staff) doing laundry (actually, I just finished with it, woo hoo!) and realizing that my journal is bare for this month except for one entry. It has been an exceptionally busy month, as all others have been, but it shouldn't mean that I cannot take a few moments to make an entry.
Okay, enough of me bitching about my journal entry and on to the entry. Listening to "The Rainbow Connection" in my playlist. Read over half of "Inspiration Sandich" while babysitting my laundry. (It's by SARK, and I reccomend it for anyone who is even contemplating about being in a creative rut) which is partially what caused me to step away from work so to speak and make an entry. I was supposed to be at a Werewolf LARP, but my damn sense of responsibility has kept me here in front of my computer and at home today. It's been peaceful. I have finally put together an actual playlist for the hundreds of MP3s that I have on this thing. I have never taken the time to do such and have always had things very random, played pick and choose, etc. I like playing with the music that I listen to. I have spaced my "Kareoke picks" so that I don't let things stay too quiet without me breakin it out. Was supposed to show my older bro Danny and his friend visiting from England around Hollyweird and Santa Monica yesterday, but an unfurtunate event caused plans to change to "Emergency Barbeque" when my brother's meat freezer broke down, causing his whole shipment of meat to start to thaw. It was really great. I took Erik, Marshall, Tye and Elisa down to his place. There were a few people that I hadn't seen for quite some time, including my friend Melanie. Melanie deserves an introduction. Exciting, outgoing, 5' 11" blond, smiling character. Other than getting married, she hasn't changed. She was pretty tired, but was still her boisterous self. It was great seeing her. There were a few others that knew me as "Misty's twin sister", as they got to know Misty when she lived with my bro for several months and knew me only by reputation and pictures. My brother has some great friends. Well I've gotta get back to work. Perhaps I'll finish the book. I've two other SARK books, they were reccomended by my sister, and will hopefully have some time to get through those too. They're really great, they are "written" by SARK, each page is her handwriting, scribblings, and paintings. One of these days, I'll have a book out there too.
