2003-02-12 3:58 PM What a morning... what a day... going home... Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: Grumpy Read/Post Comments (2) Changed my schedule so that I'm here at work 7 to 4 now.
At least, that's what's supposed to happen. Haven't made it here on time yet, good thing I'm a manager eh? This morning was in particular bad. I wasn't running late, I even spent 10 minutes trying to find my umbrella, but then snagged Erik's. My first bus on the other hand was. Now this is at around 5:30 to 5:40. I then either missed my second bus, or it didn't show. I waited for it for a while but after 15 to 20 minutes of being in the cold rain with my laptop bag not exactly staying dry, I took a local bus to the subway and was going to take the blue line to the green. Well the blue line was having mechanical issues. It never stopped altogether but it was either really slow or jerky. It was so stop and go jerky that I even felt a little ill. Got to the green line, finally, sat down, had all of my stuff on my lap and because I was feeling weird, I shut my eyes. A couple stops go by, and I feel this tug on the laptop bag. Quickly opened my eyes to see a guy trying to yoink my laptop on his way out the door. I yank it down and kinda yell at him (mental note, scream bloody murder and kick the shit outta the next guy who tries it) but he quickly tried to pretend he wasn't doing anything and runs out. I think I at least jerked his arm and wrist around yanking the laptop back. This due behind him on his way out mumbled "someone should get their ass kicked" and kinda followed him out. I didn't get much of a look at the guy, other than being over 6 foot and blond. I hope he did get his ass kicked. Today has been a slew of problematic customers, high revenue customers wanting to cancel or sue us, employees being less than helpful, I got bitched at for some equiptment that was damanged during shipment because foam peanuts aren't very stable yet that was what I was given to pack them with. Even I know that packing network and electronic equiptment with high static, not so sturdy peanuts is a bad thing. The message board on my site still will not work right. And as I wrote all of this, I got a call from the gym. My personal trainer had to cancel because he was just called to duty from his National Guard people. Grr. I think I'm gonna go to the gym anyways. *sigh* It's still raining, need to run some errands on the way home. *sigh* Read/Post Comments (2) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
