2003-04-28 9:53 AM Weekend in review Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: cranky Read/Post Comments (2) Tooth is doing a little better, but have to get a root canal Saturday. Turns out my root was infected, so I'm taking antibiotics and vicodin until it gets better. They had to drill through the crown to put antibiotics into the tooth itself. It only hurts if I bite into something on that side, which is a huge improvement from the constant pain radiating through my sinuses and eyes. Of course, it means no drinking at Karaoke tonight, but I'm totally okay with that, because my face isn't in agony, so life is good.
So, I don't have to pay another 700 for the crown replacement, but do have to pay 200 for the root canal. I've spent so much money on my mouth it should look like it's right out of Hollywood, but it certainly doesn't. Grr. In other news, I have come to the conclusion that "salon" is Spanish for "butcher" as my instructions to take a couple of inches off but leave my hair long was promptly ignored. My instructions seemed clear to me, and she even held up the hair to confirm that I only wanted a trim, but I noticed long pieces of hair falling to the ground and the damage was done before I could protest. Now, it doesn't look bad, but certainly not what I expected. I like having long hair, so I hope it grows back quickly. I actually went and bought a blowdryer so I can somewhat style it, something you can get away with not doing much of when it is nice and long. My web access at home is broken. If I had a dick, I'd be instructing SBC Yahoo to suck it right about now. Their software has been failing, their phone support is useless. I will be getting DSL soon but not soon enough. Then, I can nuke SBC and all of it's bits into oblivion and have control of my browser again. Yay! Okay, enough procrastinating, lots of stuff to catch up on.
