The Hitchhiker's Guide

So my voicemail from today and yesterday afternoon included three hangups, heavy breathing, and a loud recording of "The Entertainer" and this is at my work phone.

Not a bad addition to my already somewhat amusing day.

I took my driving test this morning, bright and early at 8 AM after another full hour of practice. I didn't pass the test, but I didn't fail it either. The DMV tester was really nice and understanding with me, and really annoyed that the car I was driving in stalled 3 times. After he cut the test short and made me go back to the DMV, I was pretty sure I had failed it because when it stalled I lost control of it for a while and was really nervous afterwards. I looked at him with anxious eyes, and he basicly told me that the fact that the car I was paying to use was not in good enough condition to take the test that it was total bullshit if he even charged me. He then went and verbally tore into the guy from the school about providing cars fit to drive in. He came by and told me to work on turns if I work on anything and rescheduled me for next week. So, next week will still technically be attempt #1.

My driving instructor told me that he wasn't going to charge me for today either. SO, I saved 75 bucks, got a free hour of training, and some tips from the tester. Not a total waste of time, but I would have still liked to complete the test. Fairly frustrating.

So, I may have to go to the dentist tomorrow, but I'm going to call him first for any suggestions.

Plans this week: Ren Faire, werewolf LARP, possible dentist, and possible firearms shooting, if I can schedule it in. I would be going to a range with some friends if I can fit in in.

I scoped out the new office yesterday, it is very cool. It's on the 7th floor, on 7th Street, between Flower and Figuroa. We're taking a huge conference room, closed off from the rest of the quiet, stale sales office. I'm definately looking forward to it. Getting to work will be so much nicer.

Allghty, gotta go on to other things, such as tracking down this competition company who is possibly illegally sniping our customers.
