Found my permit. I left it in the instructor's car last night. Drove around, and did rather well, took the test, and got too many marks to pass. I think the examiner was too picky, and my instructor said that she is pretty picky. He couldn't believe that she failed me, and said that I should go to a different DMV for the next test. As soon as I can get through without a busy signal, I will try to reschedule. The permit expires on the 16th. If nothing else, I do have an appointment at the same DMV already scheduled, but we'll see what I can come up with.
