I started with "Just a Pill" and then went on to "Bizarre Love Triangle" after which the stack was so thick I wasn't counting on getting in a third song. Derek asked if I wanted to duet with him for "Elephant Love Song" from Moulin Rouge and of course, I said hell yeah!
It was shortly before this point that I was really surprised at the strong effect from the few small drinks I had. It's been a while since I've had Bloody Marys, or vodka really, so maybe that was it. I had some water before going to bed, but still was not tip top shape. Still a little bit of headache, but not too bad. Will be more careful in the future. We had an unexpected visit at karaoke yesterday by none other than Tafoya! I was sitting and watching the singer and this really weird looking guy came up next to me and said hello and it took me a while before I realized who this guy with the mustache and goatee and stocking cap. He apparently hasn't been up to a whole hell of a lot, so nothing new really. Ick, I just put on my purse size hand lotion and my eyes are going nuts. Maybe that's a contributing factor, or at least an aggrivator to my allergy thing of recent. Rented some movies on Suday, including THEY, Equilibrium, and the unrated Old School. I have seen Old School before, and didn't notice a single change added to bring it to an Unrated version, so that was kinds dissapointing, although the movie itself was funny. THEY was really freaky. If you don't like creepy monster thing, or not actually getting a good look at the monster hiding in the dark, it's not a movie for you. It was pretty cool, a pretty non conventional downer ending but was interesting. As for Equilibrium I have no idea whay it was a straight to video movie. It was pretty bitchin, GREAT fight scenes, GREAT shootout scenes, interesting story (kinda 1984 and Farenheit 451 feel), and it had Christian Bale and Taye Diggs, who can totally carry a movie on their own (and they're both hot!). It's my reccomendation of the bunch. Well, back to busy work. Still no reply from my most recent email to my boss, which I think was very nicely done, it simply introduced me and my team, acknowledged that he was a very busy person, and asked if there was anything he needed me for. Le sigh... Time to polish up my resume, it can use it. I'm determined to not use work time for job stuff. I just need to make sure that I put other time aside.
