Woo! Look at my new colors! Caught up with journals and email from my days out at SWRE (South West Regional Event for the LARPs I do out in lush, pur-tee-full Ontario). SWRE was quite fun, although next time there is an event, I'm not going to commit myself as lead for anything. This time around I was in charge of hospitality. There were hardly any volunteers, and the volunteers I had were being a bit flakey. I would have been more upset, but was able to attend most of the games that happened, and was even able to take a few hours to enjoy the hotel pool. I was able to hang out with a lot of people that I've noticed I hardly ever see outside of actual games. I've decided that this is lame, and therefore am going to attempt to change that. They're really fun and I need to get to know them better. In other news, as SWRE ended Sunday afternoon, I stayed home from the post-SWRE Werewolf game to get some much needed rest, feed some hungry turtles, and to finally finish a book I've been trying to finish. I got home, fed turtles (they were giving me that look) crashed for about two hours, finished the book, and fell asleep while trying to watch The Big Lebowski, which I have yet to see in it's entirety. Yesterday started out a bit slow going, but spent much time out in Glendale. I had some very good steak, which I've been craving for over a week now, at Bennigan's (which is always great and I reccomend almost everything they serve), went to Borders for a while, and then saw The Medallion. The movie was okay, it was fun. Borders tempted me with many good books but with the money I speant on my steak and my movie, I couldn't justify buying more books when I have so many to get through at home already. I swear, next time I go to Bennigan's, it'll be for desset and/or drinks. I never save room for them. I think the world needs more Bennigan's. Also, dropped off my two ocarinas with Kenny and Jenn for a Spirited Away LARP that they're going to be doing. It sounds really cool. That's another movie that I've been meaning to see. I think it'll be my next rental at this point. Well, gotta run, have a handful of angry customers to get to before my day is done. Laters all!
