2003-12-22 10:34 AM Solstice Tea Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: Happy Read/Post Comments (0) With all of my bitching and complaining and droning on about the past week (Mostly because it's been a while since I've posted) I forgot to include anything about the wonderful Solstice Tea that I attended, hosted by the wonderful Tina and Robert in Pasadena.
The spread was amazing. There was fruit, cookies, Earl Grey tea with sweeteners and cream, brownies, other cookies, some cheese and the best raspberries that I've ever had, ever, and the star of the "tea" was the home made, made by scratch, really old recipie, scones, with all the butters and jams and other things served right along side them. I got to see Doug, who was the one who introduced us (me and Misty) to Tina and Robert. Doug is one of my very bestest Faire friends ever. He hasn't come out to karaoke for a while but promised to join us again soon. He's a wonderful guy, and I hardly ever see him these days. There were about a dozen people there, and we played some games which were really fun. One was "Psychiatrist" which was really fun. I had never played before so wound up being the psychiatrist. Another was "How's Yours" and we almost broke out Cranium, a fabulous game that I've enjoyed playing with Tina, and Doug before, but turtles hadn't been fed and I had to get back to apartment organizing, dusting, dishes, and all those other tasks I don't like doing but have to be done. I met some really great people and it was a really positive place to be among the rest of my winter-time stress. Yay! Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
