2004-03-07 10:55 AM Mighty Busy March Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: Contemplative Read/Post Comments (0) So, my friend Koyote, who is currently in Iraq, has managed to post more than I have over the past coupla weeks, and he has got to be WAY busier than I am, although I have been hella hella busy, so I figured, with a little coaxing from him, that I would finally post an update to ya all about recent developments.
First, work has been ASS. I would say, busy as hell, but as it hasn't really been a good type of busy, it can only best be described as ass. I can't really go into detail, but can say that we've managed to piss a LOT of customers off as well as quadruple our work load over just a handful of days. Hopefully, things calm down soon. We're just plugging away. It's not entirely miserable, payday was Friday and me and a workmate went out for really good sushi. I have noticed that for someone who doesn't drink coffee, because it is vile, I have managed to intake quite a bit of caffine over the past week. Been a little down on my whole weight issue but I think I'm getting out of the funk of it all finally and doing something about it. I plan on going back to the gym, regularly, starting Monday. I think I also need this to cut the stress of recent work fun/chaos/whathaveu and need to start eating a bit healthier too. I'd like to be able to fit into all of my clothes again and hopefully will be able to soon. I guess when you get busy with some things, you tend to neglect others. I got Bit and Byte a full spectrum UVA/UVB lamp, something that they probably should have had a long time ago, and installed it this morning. I think they are scared of it though. I recently found out that turtles need this type of light in order to create certain vitamines on their own that they need for their shells and bones. I probably should have read up on them a bit more when I brought them home. They are getting pretty big. I'm trying them out on some live waxworms for treats (although the things drown in the water really quick) and although the little one has a hard time catching them, I think they like them. The little one seems to have an increasing sight issue, so I think I'm going to start feeding him in a separate feeding tank, because the big one will continue to be dominant. I've had a great time running vampire games recently. Although last Saturday's game was small, I was able to run a whole additional hour continuation for them on Friday. Things have gotten pretty interesting, and I think the players are having fun iwth it. And I got quite a few comments on my new geek shirt, which reads: ROCK IS DEAD (in big red type) Long Live Paper And Scissors (in smaller type) Of course, the type goes like right across my boobs, so I think they bring attention to each other. ;) But anyways. :) Misty leaves for Austrailia on Wednesday. This means that I will have a car, in my posession, on Wednesday. I will be able to practice, in this car, and get my licence soon. Go me! I know, I know, "Thea! Get to driving already!" and I've been a bit of a chickenshit with those behind the wheel tests, but hey, I'm getting there. So today is lots of cleanup, and then doin stuff. What stuff is yet to be determined, with the Los Angeles Marathon going on getting around today will have to be tactically planned. Erik's got more shows coming up, and I will be posting info about them here. So stay tuned! (Okay, stay tuned just sounds silly for a journal entry but you know what I mean) Wow, that was a long post. Getting food now. Bu-bye!
