2004-04-06 8:19 PM The amenities of life have been chasing my soul Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: Worried Read/Post Comments (0) So it's been a while since my last entry. (I wonder how many journal entries begin with that very sentence) I've had a few ideas to yap about but for now, just a general update.
My fingernails are gone, bitten to the nubs, and I've gone to the CNN war casualties site like 4 times today. 12 more marines reported dead today, some reports saying all were from Pendleton. I don't like having a friend on the front lines and really hope he is okay. No news yet, and he did update his journal on the 2nd. Hope hope hope. I've recovered nicely from nasty stomach flu, although I'm still being wary of what I eat. I'm going to probably go to karaoke tonight, though will probably hold off on the drinks this time, or go with something mild. I can really use the tension breaker of just being there, and the hostess said I "totally rocked" on "All That Jazz" so I totally want to sing it at the Tuesday night place (it has a stage, which I dig, wooo!) and see how it goes there. Erik's had rehearsals almost every night, as he has two shows that he is directing that open back to back. Busy little bee, but he's having fun. I'll post more details of the show when it gets closer to that time. (The shows are "Closer" and "Black Comedy") He's got some great people in his productions and I really hope the shows come out nicely. I designed the postcard for "Closer" and am waiting on the printer to get back to me so we can get that completed. I've managed to keep my small team at work somewhat motivated while more people in other locations are laid off. I've also managed to pass on the plague (but I think I got it from one of the other ones in the office so it's just going around) so had yet another person out today. Now if only I could get everyone to show up and have all three people there for a full five days in a row. That would be something. Still waiting to get more info about proposed bonus plan. It sounded good, but have not heard from my boss since he talked to us about it. I'm a little concerned, but not too bad. I did get a chance to organize the place a bit with being home a lot due to flu. My closet can still use some de-cluttering, and I know I have some old clothes that I need to just toss, but I'll get to that soon. Alright, it's getting stuffy here. I'm going to go and get some grape juice and hang out on the couch til karaoke time. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
