2004-05-04 2:11 PM Update? We don't need no steenkin' update! Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: accomplished Read/Post Comments (1) So it's May already. Grumbldy grumbldy grooo! (not sure where that came from but sounded appropriate in my head)
Got an update from my boss finally on the conference call yesterday. The first company to bid on my little chunk-o-company has finally signed the "stocking horse bid" which means that things go through the bankruptsy courts, then to auction, then we wind up either with this first company, some other company who outbids, or somewhere else. There's still bonuses in the horizon, although they got bounced back to at least the 20th, and I have no clue as to whether the proposed amount has changed, but I'm still hangin out right now for more news. I had a no show today, so I must have a talking to with said individual tomorrow. Boy I wish I could do something about my staff to help the situation. I did treat them to lunch after the con call yesterday. *sigh* They're gonna shoot themselves in the foot one of these days and I'm not going to have any control over what happens. Oh well. In other news, I finally got through to get an appointment for my behind the wheel test and ya know what? I have to go to the eye doctor AGAIN before I can take it because even though the permit lasts for a year, the eye doctor paperwork only lasts for 6 months if I don't complete the licence process. *grumblgrumblegrumble* Hmm, what else is going on? I went to SWRE (regional LARP event in Arizona, was very fun) I saw both of Erik's plays, which are GREAT by the way and you should all go see them this coming weekend! I'll make a separate post about them later on. Karaoke was really fun last night. I'll be going again tonight to make sure that more people get postcards for Erik's shows. I met Kevin Weissman last night. Rebecca met him first (and realized who he was after he told her that she did a good job singing, which she TOTALLY rocked), but he came up to me to introduce himself and tell me that I sang really well. I had just done I'm The Only One and I think it turned out well. I was in a really generous mood last night, and have the bar tab to prove it! No drinks for me tonight though, cause I'm doing something that I've never done before... It's scheduled for 9:15 AM tomorrow. I'll be bustin open a vein. Donating blood for the very first time ever. I don't even know what blood type I am but they said they can figure it out. They're doing it upstairs in my building and I figured that it is about time. I really don't have any remaining religious reasons not to at this point, and they seemed pretty desperate to sign people up. I'm a little nervous, but have never had an issue with needles so should be ok. So, between that and recently being registered to vote, I'm really breaking through here, moving on from my prior self. Go me! Read/Post Comments (1) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
