Between my schedule of commute, gym, work, commute, rehearsal, sleep, repeat, and the fact that my computer has now been in the shop for well over two weeks, I've had little opportunity in the way of updating my journal. I'm stealing this time between calls at work, which has also been a whole lot busier the past week than I had expected it to be.
Let's see... The show, which I've been assistant directing, "What The Butler Saw", opened Thursday night, and is going really well. There's only three shows left of the first cast, Thursday at 8:30, Saturday and Sunday at 3, and it's a really really fun show. it's a fast paced British farce and the whole cast does a fabulous job. Go to www.hollywoodfightclub.com to see what else we are doing, to get directions, etc, etc. Or give me a holler. :) Work has been a LOT of "learn while you do" which I am finding a little difficult at times. Mostly, when I encounter something new, I don't get a lot of opportunity for what I learn to sink in because I'm trying to learn the problem while solving the problem, and the attention and instruction that I get from co-workers is only partial because they are also on phones solving other problems. New people now outnumber the experienced people, which makes getting any real attention/instruction difficult. It is not terrible, and I do like the challenge, but is its nerve wracking at times, especially when dealing with "important" city people. And it in general leaves little time to journal/goof off. I just have to get used to not having the luxury of all the idle web time I had at my last job. Have not had opportunity to delve into gaming much the past month. I'll go more into current larp tendancies in another post, as I have to wrap this one up. Other things of note: having insomnia blows, getting in touch with friends I have not really seen since highschool rocks, reviews of movies/shows/entertainment of note to come, I think I've lost some weight, and I really think I want an IPod.
