ZORAK: Prowse is the true Vader!

Well, tonight is the night, and then it will be done. The boys will be getting in line this afternoon, and I'll be joining them some time after 8 hopefully before 9. I'll have a book with me, and I won't be in costume. It will be fun, and the end of a tradition (unless another franchise comes along that is also super cool for us spazzy geeks) for many people.

In other news, I think I met my replacement person yesterday afternoon. My manager was showing around someone new. *shrug* They still haven't told me anything more. The lawyer (well, the legal assistant of the lawyer)) I talked to said I will probably need something a bit more compelling or specific for a case in an "at will" state. Grr. I'll be looking up more stuff this week, along with applying to more positions.

So I picked up my friend Russell yesterday, he met up with me at Union Station on my way home. He's staying with Misty for now, and we're trying to get him settled into the area as quickly as possible (either OC or LA). It is going to be really cool having an old friend around, and I really hope that this was a move for the better for him. Now that he's here and has a place to stay for now I'm less stressed. He's a really great guy.

So I'm sitting here at work in slippers. Black slippers that can (maybe) pass as regular shoes unless you look close enough at them. I hope no management notices, and for once, I actually hope I don't get called in for an update on things. Why slippers? Because they're the only black shoes that they had at the Sav-on next to Curves, and nothing else was open. See, today was "Mis Match" day, where coming to your work out in mis matched stuff earns Curves Cash (one of the many ways you earn curves cash, daily games, weight lost, etc. which are then used to bid on stuff next week, it's fun and silly) so I decided to wear mis matched shoes and socks. This would have been fine, except for the fact that I forgot my regular work shoes and socks. I've done this before and have worn tennies before, but not mismatched ones. Hence slippers.

So tonight, hanging in line in slippers for Star Wars and getting maybe an hour or two sleep tonight before work tomorrow. Go me. :)
