Enjoy the ride. Currently, I live in a small 'crossroad' town in the Sierra Nevada foothills. I'm raising a wonderful son, cultivating a promissing career in Real Estate and enjoying every day! I'm involved in many community activities, charitable organizations and do LOTS of Yoga! Life is a great ride. Things change, I adapt and follow the 'road' with love and humility. 2004-03-29 8:42 AM Widow's Day Out On Saturday I went with my Grandma Doris (68), my Grandma Marie (84), and my Aunt Nancy(60ish) to a small tourist town called Murphy's. The town is an "old west" town with the buildings lined tight together down the center of town. They still have the watering well for the horses, cobblestones in the street, and an original hotel with an antique bar and wood stove. This was mixed with renovated and newer buildings that house gift shops, art galleries, candie stores, restaurants, etc. We joked about the fact that we are all widows. It was funny in a sad sort of way. But we were able to shop to our hearts content without men complaining (lol). We had a nice time. We found lots of goodies, including a great baby quilt with carousel horses.
