Enjoy the ride. Currently, I live in a small 'crossroad' town in the Sierra Nevada foothills. I'm raising a wonderful son, cultivating a promissing career in Real Estate and enjoying every day! I'm involved in many community activities, charitable organizations and do LOTS of Yoga! Life is a great ride. Things change, I adapt and follow the 'road' with love and humility. 2008-01-26 8:52 PM Snow It snowed at our house two days ago! Our elevation above sea level is only about 1200ft. So, it is rare, if ever, that it snows here. But the other day it snowed all through the night and we woke up to the whole yard covered in about 4" of snow!
We'd been given word to expect snow, so I kept a fire going in case the power went off in the night. I would wake up every once in awhile and check the fire. As I did, I would watch the snow fall gently outside. It was truly beautiful. It was soft, muted and graceful. I realize now that I'd never experienced anything like that before. In the morning, we quickly got dressed, ran outside and built a snowman!!! Allex and I had snowball fights, and made snow angels and slid down a hill in our back yard. Then we came in and sat by the fire, drinking hot cocoa with marshmallows. And we even roasted marshmallows in the fire. We had so much fun! It is a day and night I will always remember.
