I was so good about posting when I first started this stupid thing. Not so much anymore, huh? I have been "reminded" lately that I need to post more often, so here goes.

Alright, where to begin...

My birthday:
I spent most of my 25th (oh my god) birthday moving. My dad arrived at 9am, my mom and stepdad got there around 10, and we moved moved moved. Finally around 1-ish we set off for my dad's house, the end destination for all of my crap. Hours and hours (and about a million trips up and down the stairs) later, we at least had my furniture and TV stuff and clothes upstairs and somewhat organized. Everything else is still downstairs in the bonus room and will be organized slowly but surely.

Luckily Shannon came over to save me from having to deal with my family all on my own. After relazing a little and a quick shower, we headed for Jen and Rob's for my WONDERFUL birthday dinner. We had Benehana's, one of my favorite restaurants in the whole entire world. The drink, the steak and the chicken were excellent. The talk about HIBATCHI BABIES, however, were not. EWEWEWEWEWEWEWEWEWEWEWEWEWEWEWEWEWEWEWEW... and did I mention ew? Babies are NOT the other white meat. Babies are NOT veal, nor should they be kept in cat carriers!!!!!!!!!!! yuck yuck yuck

anyway, hibatchi babies and slutty goth girl's thong (again, ew) aside, dinner was excellent. Then it was back to jen and rob's for lots of booze and some REALLY bad werewolf porn. All and all a great birthday... thanks jen, rob, shannon and todd... (oh, and i got a awesomely big nighttime squishy care bear and YUMMY godiva chocolate - the best things ever)

The cruise:

In general, the cruise was good. Catalina and Ensenada were beautiful and the ship was great. Then there was my roommate. I thought I was on a trip with my mother or big sister rather than a friend/roommate. I am not 2 years old and I do not need to be told when to get up or when to take a shower, when not/to roll my eyes at someone, and I can pick out my own fricking jewelry. However, my roommate does not think I am capable of any of these things. anyway...

There were absolutely NO boys on this cruise. Well, actually there were boys, but they were all under the age of 13. Or there were decent looking guys with their wives and children. Absolutely nothing in between. So that sucked, but overall it was a nice relaxing time...oh! relaxing that is until I realized I had lost my passport. But I eventually convinced the immigration people to let me back into the country. I had to answer some questions including who is running for California Governor. Thank god for Arnold Swarzanagger and Larry Flint!

Baseball:

A great game. Good food. Lots of booze. I still don't remember much of about the first 4 innings or so. It was a good group to talegate and watch a game with and not too borring of a game (for a change - usually baseball puts me to sleep). Thanks Shann - it was a wonderful Saturday.

Going over to the dark side:

I have done something that I have been swearing for the last 10-15 years I would NEVER do.... I bought a Mac. I know I know. But I am so sick of my PCs giving me headaches. I got a G4 powerbook. It's so pretty. All silver and little and cute. Oh yeah, and it does computer stuff too; it doesn't just sit there and look pretty. Myke and Robbie, you have finally won. I think I really like my mac. And I know I am going to LOVE my Ipod as well (you can't beat the great deal of getting an Ipod for 67 bucks and getting a free printer). I am evil and have been pulled over to the dark side.... good lord

Harry Potter:

I borrowed the 5th and most recent Harry Potter book from Bryce and Julia (thank you thank you guys). I could not put it down all day Sunday. Then yesterday I didn't get to read for more than about an hour or so. But I am already on page 550. I think I like this one better than the previous four, and I didnt' think that was going to be possible.

Now that I think about it, my hands hurt from all this typing and I have to get back to Harry and Lord Voldemort....
