After church, we had a brief VBS meeting, then Chuck went across the street to help coach the tween boys in the tourny. They won the first game and lost the next, but not without real effort. It was neat to see them hang on. It was HOT. And it was hard to keep the kids in the bleachers (mud everywhere).

Had dinner, then went for a walk at Hummel. I love walking there. It's mostly shaded and very pretty with the ponds and trees. Saw a hummingbird in a neighborhood tree. Love those little birds. Took the kids to Metropolis for Cold Stone Creamery icecream and to watch the fountain.
