I'm a web developer for NOVICA. I'm fascinated by languages, even though I only speak English and a little Spanish. I can count in Korean and have numerous language and linguistics books. I'm living within walking distance of CSUN where I share an apartment with my girlfriend and 2 cats. I'm happy. I write sporadically (I really need to finish that short story), with every intention of making a living at it at an undisclosed point in the future. I taught physics at Emperor's College Winter Term 2008. I love games and stories and music and computers and science and "and." I drink my coffee 100% black 80% of the time and 80% black 20% of the time. Also, there are other things. 7332 42

Mathematica (attempt II)

Sadly this entry will only be 1/8 as witty as it might have been.
Notes to self:
  1. Windows has a clipboard for a reason
  2. HTML has a <pre> tag for a reason
  3. DTMF's really are trippy in stereo
I just installed Mathematica--a trial version. I've been drooling over this piece of software since I started reading A New Kind of Science. My browser crashed as a tried to save this entry moments ago, so without further ado, I will geek out:
Play[Sin[2Pi 2600 t], {t, 0, 1}];
And my phone number:
Play[{Sin[2Pi 697 t], Sin[2Pi 1633 t]}, {t, 0, 1}];
Play[{Sin[2Pi 697 t], Sin[2Pi 1209 t]}, {t, 0, 1}];
Play[{Sin[2Pi 941 t], Sin[2Pi 1226 t]}, {t, 0, 1}];
Play[{Sin[2Pi 852 t], Sin[2Pi 1477 t]}, {t, 0, 1}];
Play[{Sin[2Pi 697 t], Sin[2Pi 1477 t]}, {t, 0, 1}];
Play[{Sin[2Pi 770 t], Sin[2Pi 1477 t]}, {t, 0, 1}];
Play[{Sin[2Pi 697 t], Sin[2Pi 1209 t]}, {t, 0, 1}];
Play[{Sin[2Pi 852 t], Sin[2Pi 1266 t]}, {t, 0, 1}];
Play[{Sin[2Pi 770 t], Sin[2Pi 1209 t]}, {t, 0, 1}];
Play[{Sin[2Pi 770 t], Sin[2Pi 1209 t]}, {t, 0, 1}];
I've been thinking about languages a lot recently. If you can't read this, please call the above number and we can attempt to communicate without a common language. It'll be fun...Really!
