I was at the Star Trek / Science Fiction convention in Pasadena this weekend. I had quite a good time. I got a chance to congratulate Wil on his recent CSI role. Leaving the convention, I saw a familiar face. I did a double and tripple take, and then she walked up and said hi. It turns out Brooke DeRosa is in the Greater Los Angeles area! We weren't really close at Washington and Lee University, but my work with the theatre department and my time in University Chorus put us in close proximity often, during the last couple years of my stay at university. It's always a joy to meet an old friend, and I hope that she sends me info on her band. I really should try and catch up with other W&L people in Los Angeles.
