I'm a web developer for NOVICA. I'm fascinated by languages, even though I only speak English and a little Spanish. I can count in Korean and have numerous language and linguistics books. I'm living within walking distance of CSUN where I share an apartment with my girlfriend and 2 cats. I'm happy. I write sporadically (I really need to finish that short story), with every intention of making a living at it at an undisclosed point in the future. I taught physics at Emperor's College Winter Term 2008. I love games and stories and music and computers and science and "and." I drink my coffee 100% black 80% of the time and 80% black 20% of the time. Also, there are other things. 7332 42

Thoughts

I find it interesting how upset people can get when some random person "accuses them of sending a virus" when its actually just automatic anti-virus systems impersonally warning everyone about an impersonal virus sent unknowingly from impersonal mail programs to impersonal mail programs. But by using a medium that carries so much personal information back and forth between people, it affects them on a different level. It makes me think about how ubiquitous e-mail has become. People tend to forget that there are computers involved, until something goes wrong.

I've found myself thinking a lot recently about how stuff works. I did some work with analog computers and lasers in college. The most recent Jameco catalog has led me to start making a list of "stuff" I need to start playing with circuits. I need a multimeter, a small collection of resistors, capacitors, diodes, etc, a powersupply, some breadboards...

Then it's really all about ideas.
