I'm a web developer for NOVICA. I'm fascinated by languages, even though I only speak English and a little Spanish. I can count in Korean and have numerous language and linguistics books. I'm living within walking distance of CSUN where I share an apartment with my girlfriend and 2 cats. I'm happy. I write sporadically (I really need to finish that short story), with every intention of making a living at it at an undisclosed point in the future. I taught physics at Emperor's College Winter Term 2008. I love games and stories and music and computers and science and "and." I drink my coffee 100% black 80% of the time and 80% black 20% of the time. Also, there are other things. 7332 42

Extreme Science Fiction

I picked up The Mammoth Book of Extreme Science Fiction at the Barnes and Noble in the marina before watching Lady in the Water last week. So far the stories have been great. I hope to someday write something as delightful as an alternate history caused by an impossible quirk of geometry that makes the pacific ifinitely large. Or possibly a story set SO far in the future that humanity has gained the power to stave off life destroying cosmic events... only to be thwarted when a component is stolen to be used as a doomsday weapon in a galactic war between divergent aspects of humanity. My mind is spinning from having read this stuff.

My mind is also spinning from having actually done some writing again this week. The particular concept I've been playing around with may not be either totally original or even interesting in and of itself, but it's most definitely one more arrow in my literary quiver.

all for now.

listening to the 'Pump Up the Volume' soundtrack.
