Looking back even a few years I would never have expected to find myself in this position. I'm surrounded by people obsessed with soccer and find myself continuously defending the merits of football. A lot of what intrests me about football is it's similarity to a game like chess. There are discrete moments where decisions are made. The running around and bumping into other people is largely determined by those initial decisions.

Trying to praise the merits of a sport using this type of argument never seems to convince anyone, so I'm glad I've found some kindred souls in End Game Technologies. I found them via a Wired Article
