I'm a web developer for NOVICA. I'm fascinated by languages, even though I only speak English and a little Spanish. I can count in Korean and have numerous language and linguistics books. I'm living within walking distance of CSUN where I share an apartment with my girlfriend and 2 cats. I'm happy. I write sporadically (I really need to finish that short story), with every intention of making a living at it at an undisclosed point in the future. I taught physics at Emperor's College Winter Term 2008. I love games and stories and music and computers and science and "and." I drink my coffee 100% black 80% of the time and 80% black 20% of the time. Also, there are other things. 7332 42

Collected Ramblings

Family: Talked to Mom and Grandma Milk this morning. I need to find out where in texas Erin's family is and plan a trip to visit Grandma Milk and other Family in texas once Erin can get some time off. Looks like Erin and I are going to try and make it to Nags Head for Thanksgiving, even if we can't make the full week
Politics: There was a CRAZY debate on uprising this morning (the 5th) between Rahul Mahajan (http://empirenotes.org/) and someone from the Answer coalition. The debate was basically on the effectivness of protest in todays political scene. Rahul Mahajan TOTALLY made the Answer Coalition chick look like a nut job... his stance is basically that the progressive movement will only be effective in the long term if it developes a foundation WITHIN the system of elected officials and that concentrating solely on Propaganda and Protest just diverts energy from that goal

I said to Kenny, "It REALLY feels like a FAITH vs ACTION debate." and his response sums up my feelings on this subject, "heh... but as we both know, faith without works is dead."

exactly... I KEPT feeling throughout the debate how INSANELY powerful the 2 people debating could be if they just worked together, but that's just crazy talk, right?

The Internets: I started up my del.ico.us account again. It died a few months back when a crazed google employee called me up and yelled, "DELETE YOUR del.ico.us ACCOUNT NOW." but it's back now.

WoW: My Paladin hit lvl 54 last night, and I've fallen in love with running instances with NOTHING BUT MAGES... and me to keep them alive... quite fun.

Friends: Caught up with Ian yesterday. He called out of the blue, and that was just plain cool. It's been ages since we hung out, even though we've both spent a significant amount of time with WoW over the last year and a half. He's in college... I want to go back to school. Hmmm. I can't really wrap my mind around what for though.

Writing: I seem to continuously have story ideas that involve sidewalks... The latest stems (slight pun here, wait for it) from the interaction of old trees with sidewalks... anyway, it got me thinking of exotic materials, which led me to that site... Cool stuff.

Not listening to kpfk. I overdosed on that this morning.
