Words-of-Mine No matter what the day brings, deep down I know it really is a good day because I have the man of my dreams, a kitty who loves me, a roof over my head and I live in paradise.279929 Curiosities served |

Determination. The will to endure to the end, to get knocked down seventy times and get up off the floor saying, ''Here comes number seventy-one!'' - Richard M. DeVo ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ I would like it if I woke up every day feeling as the title here. However, I've noticed since I began the new medication that it seems to be working. I still wake up slowly but once I get going I'm okay. Through the day, my mind doesn't seem to be going 150 miles per hour worrying over everything that concerns me. This is a good thing. Ah, better living through modern chemistry. Let me tell you, if I could go without all this medication I take I certainly would. It's another sunny and warm day in the burg. Instead of going to the food bank this morning, I slept in until 7 a.m. I took time to stretch and really wake up first. I asked Michael if he wanted to go walking with me but he did not since he had been up till 4 a.m. Instead of my usual go back to bed, I got up and put my walking shoes on and went for my walk. Michael has reminded me that I used to do my exercising without him in the early stages of being together and I can do it now. What a concept. The day is warm again and I'm hot before I've gone very far. When I walk by myself, I don't go quite as fast as Michael. However, I do speed up now and again but with walking slower I can survey my domain for photos to share with you. For today's viewing pleasure, I share with you this photo: The PO'd Moment of the day. We are researching the purchase of a smartphone. We have surfed the 'Net for the best buy with all the features we want. So after being on the computer for hours, we took our research to the Verizon store in town. Well, let me tell you, the manager of the store did talk to us but he kept excusing himself to assist other customers who came in. It was like he wasn't taking us seriously as potential buyers. Before we were done, that man of mine told this kid that he wasn't impressed with his "excuse me" and we walked out the door. Now I understand customer service and this being a small store but you don’t excuse yourself four times to help other customers. He did have another service rep there that could have taken care of these other people. Then on top of that, for the phone we were looking at, out the door we had to come up with $650. This doesn't include the monthly payment and the data package. Personally, I say I will keep the phone I have (because I like it) and purchase an MP3 player. Also I could consider getting the e-mail package that my phone offers. I'm sure it is much cheaper. Anyway, Michael is fuming and is going to send a complaint off to Verizon and let them know about this manager. Ah, the big deals in the burg! The day is moving along and I have some housework to do.
