It's peaceful over all except for the sounds of road workers and their required road work. Yesterday's gathering brought in a large truck where they were putting together trench protectors.
When I first arose, all was quiet and the sky gray. The birds were even quiet amongst themselves. Later, though the sun was shining, the sky was a dark gray, and the wind was shipping the branches of the trees around. Oooh, I think a storm is on its way!
The birds were preparing for the weather with whizzing flights through the air and dancing through the bush and tree limbs.
The rain came down lightly at first but before the day was over it was a steady rain. The road crews worked throughout the day. They are not about to stop now that work has started, the deadlines are in place and will be met.
Into the evening I was able to see the moon a little through the clouds. She was most beautiful up over the rooftops in her full moon radiance.
Total rainfall at our household was just over a half inch. Now I wonder what tomorrow will bring.
