Words-of-Mine

No matter what the day brings, deep down I know it really is a good day because I have the man of my dreams, a kitty who loves me, a roof over my head and I live in paradise.

A Hard Day

Emotionally it was a hard day. I still haven't recouped from the run in with the bill collector but then it has only been a week.

A part of my gratitude is that Mr. F has gone walking with me the last two days. My walks are different when he comes along than when I am by myself. I am happy to have his company and plus, walking is good for him too when he gets the gumption.

I have gratitude for the food bank we go to on Thursdays. I wasn't up to dealing with people so Mr. F had the duty to take care of getting our provisions. Plus, he also volunteers to do stuff around there for them. They stocked us up good this week since with the holidays, they are going to be closed for the next two weeks. Needless to say our fridge is well stocked.

Gratitude for the sunshine and cool breezes today. With watching the clouds move across the sky, seeing the tree tops dancing in the wind, and paying attention to my breathing, I did find some calmness amongst my angst.

Gratitude in watching Bailey the Cat play with scrunched up pieces of paper and then playing with the spring-loaded door stop. He's been running around here like a Tasmanian Devil. I have to be careful where I put my feet as I may step on him or he will knock me over. Crazy cat.

Gratitude for all of my blogging buddies. We all live such different lives and yet there is that connection between us because we keep showing up each day. Don't know what I would do without you.

Gratitude for my computer and DVD drive so we can watch movies in the evening. Although Mr. F did hear from the Geek Squad that our TV has been repaired and is going through inspection before returning to us. Even after all this time, we still try to turn on the TV.

Gratitude for my community library. Granted I have lots of books to read at home, it is fun to check out a couple of books. I'm working on the second of the trilogy of Philip Pullman's Golden Compass. The book I'm reading is "The Subtle Knife."

Gratitude for music, especially country western music. Music takes my mind off of things and soothes my soul.

Gratitude for my home, Mr. F and Bailey the Cat.

"There comes a time in your life, when you walk away from all the drama and people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh. Forget the bad, and focus on the good. Love the people who treat you right, pray for the ones who don't. Life is too short to be anything but happy.Falling down is a part of life, getting back up is living."

-- Jose N. Harris, MI VIDA

"I expect to pass through life but once. If therefore, there be any kindness I can show, or any good thing I can do to any fellow being, let me do it now, and not defer or neglect it, as I shall not pass this way again." - William Penn, English entrepreneur and philosopher
