Words-of-Mine

No matter what the day brings, deep down I know it really is a good day because I have the man of my dreams, a kitty who loves me, a roof over my head and I live in paradise.

The Day Is Here

Well, here we are the BIG day has arrived.

We were up at 6:30 a.m. in time for me to get my walk in, photos to follow. Clean up after Bailey. Plus, to have a cup of coffee and tea to begin our day as stressless as possible.

With no wind, I was fairly comfortable on my walk with only a denim shirt and scarf and my usual hat. I even took time to take a couple of photos.

Another Good Morning

Another morning in paradise. It always amazes me how different the morning is depending on what time I get out to walk.

Morning Huddle

The morning huddle. I wonder if this happens daily? There were more birds on the lines but by the time I got my phone camera up and ready some had flown off. Still it was impressive and noisy.

Back home, once all the last minute things were handled it was a waiting game. The time period is from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Since we prefer to be here in person, it is a waiting game. The inspector didn't arrive until 11 a.m. to noontime.

I think he, Larry, spent no more than 15 minutes with us as he checked out the various rooms. Turned on faucets, checked the fridge, the water heater and our detectors for smoke and carbon monoxide. Oh yeah, he even looked in the oven.

In the kitchen he thought we had a brand new stove. "No," Michael said, "it is a couple of years old." Hehe, little does he know that we cover the top with tin foil and then change it when it gets grimy.

Off to the bathroom, no mold there, the faucet, toilet and shower worked there. And, no cat smells from Bailey's litter box.

Off to the two bedrooms and no problems there. Other in my mind, too much clutter but will be working on that as this year moves along.

We pass with glowing colors until the inspection next year.

We both heave a sigh of relief. We are tired and plan to take the next few days off and just be.

Thank you all for your words of support and your own experience with keeping up with a household. I appreciate all of your wisdom.

"There comes a time in your life, when you walk away from all the drama and people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh. Forget the bad, and focus on the good. Love the people who treat you right, pray for the ones who don't. Life is too short to be anything but happy.Falling down is a part of life, getting back up is living."

-- Jose N. Harris, MI VIDA

"I expect to pass through life but once. If therefore, there be any kindness I can show, or any good thing I can do to any fellow being, let me do it now, and not defer or neglect it, as I shall not pass this way again." - William Penn, English entrepreneur and philosopher
