Words-of-Mine

I say all for naught but what I got out of my walk to the library was another walk in today. The second.

This morning I met a new neighbor, John, with his three-week old baby girl. I didn't even think to ask him what her name was. Will have to ask the next time I see him walking his property.

It's really cute because John has baby girl in a sling which goes around his neck and shoulder. Meanwhile he is drinking a cup of coffee. What a dad!

So, anyway, I went to the library to print out my train ticket. Only I learn that the library was closed due to Lincoln's birthday. Okay, I didn't realize the library closed on president's birthdays.

A train ticket you may ask? I'm going on an adventure. A best girlfriend who lives in Nevada asked me to come for a visit. After a day's thinking about it, I decided to go. It will be a short visit but for awhile I will have a break from what is going on in my home. I will leave on Sunday and come back on Thursday.

Shoot, I haven't been on a train since I was married the second time and we took the train from Kansas City, Missouri to New Orleans, Louisiana. What an adventure that was.

As for weather, we have sunny skies and warm temperatures somewhere in the 70s. Windows are open and the fresh air is heavenly.

Well, I'm off to spend some time in this good weather. I hope you all are having a lovely day.
