Flame and burn and sizzle,
Blistering the land.

Whine and drag and fizzle,
Ruining my plan.

The man in the sun is having a field day. I think he's trying to see how hot he can get it before the concrete starts to boil.

The heat seems to command my attention, sap my will and basically just screw everything up. I keep seeing fried eggs on the pavement.

I could just turn on the air con and hide in my room. But I'm restless. I don't want to be defeated just by a hot day. So I get frustrated and irritable instead.
Looks like I've lost already.
