Matthew 12:34b And when I taste the words on my tongue, it apalls me to think about the sewer within. How often have I let my tongue go ahead of my head! It seems tied to some darker part of me, wild and red-eyed like a mad horse frothing from the mouth. Snakes slither past my teeth and bite with venomous sacarsm; slow poison laced with foolish arrogance and bloated pride. Such things lurk in my heart, constantly seeking to dominate my mind. Yet like the knave that auctions his honour, I believe I profit. It is these frustrating moments, trapped behind walls hardened by habit; sapped by a drugged will; that I carve these remembrances of sanity on my cell wall. Let all who pass by here know that I was not always like this. When this time of testing is over, and I pass through unbroken, let all praise go to the Lord God Almighty. When it is over, then let this be a stern reminder to me : I was once like this. Read/Post Comments (3) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
