Politically, we're fucked. The local election results showed an increase in votes/seats/councils for Labour, but all I heard on the radio news as I drove around was about bloody UKIP, as if they had done brilliantly, when in fact their share of the vote had gone down slightly. So what the hell was that all about, BBC?

Tonight the votes are coming in for the European elections and UKIP are in the lead in the UK. Awful. There's been a big surge in votes for the far right all across Europe but we look like being the worst.
