I went to the thrift store babyless, thank you very much. I have no money and the parking lot was full but the itch to shop was there and, you know. Plus, babies don't sit tight at the thrift store. They want to touch (dirty) things and see over the endless racks of clothes. Then if they spot the kids' toys it's all over. So, I was on a half hour mission.

For $9 I bought a standard gray sweatshirt, Banana Republic striped mock sweater with buttons all up one side (this was the piece I fell in love with at $4), a block frame, and a book on houseplants and one on letters from Bill Wilson to his sponsor (yeah, Reenie, I know).

I didn't buy a few different Gap zip up hoodies, a probably very trusty light J Crew button up sweater with pockets, and one of those old Forenza wide neck sweatshirts with big flowers all over it....

Who was that girl who wanted the Forenza sweatshirt?
