Ludwig Wittgenstein said, "The limits of my language are the limits of my life."

The limits of my energy are also the limits of my life.

Just doing homework ... Critical Thinking class ... 3/5 of my teammates lost a grandparent in the same week ... I am to write a paper on critical thinking and language, with at least three metaphors describing the same thing (sounds stonerific--too bad that era has passed). I'm forgetting this class is demanding actual work out of me, and in spring!

My instructor is fantastic, though she made a statement about people having the ability to reprogram the addictive mind ... with heavy sedatives I think it's possible. My fat brain knows food is too damn available and easy to numb out with. Unless I suffer head trauma, I can't snack without the devil getting all giddy around his campfire (metaphor #1?). Perhaps I already suffered head trauma on the way through the canal. Wasn't as if I was ripped from a prenatal pack-a-day smoking habit or anything. No. That's not harmful at all.

Visited my old stomping grounds, as we say: the pizza shop I, for 10 years, fulfilled a childhood dream of wanting to work at. Saw a former co-worker who couldn't believe Rachel was so big ... I said, "Yeah, time flies judging by someone else's kids." It was just Rachel and I and we talked about how quickly she learned to read. She told me, out of the blue, that when I don't yell at the babies she can tell I am trying not to yell and that I'm doing a good job. Funny.

The sun was a circle of white behind all the fog today. I saw it about 6:30 PM and had to convince myself it wasn't the moon because that was just a sliver the other night and plus it was too high for that time of night.
