Baby's sleeping and the tinkler is playing in the bathroom sink. Yes, he makes a mess--another good thing about water. And he's naked and could have stepped three feet to sit on the potty but went right there on the floor by the sink. Not getting a Starburst for that.

Had to write because moments ago, as I was preparing a post to my class (...about kindergartners using critical thinking through books: educators ask them to look at pictures and tell what they think is about to happen or 'why did Joe do that?'), Lloyd came away from the bathroom sink all wet and said, "I look like Joe."

Did you get that we both said Joe at the same time?

I am back to work two nights a week at the pizza shop. I just love it there. I love escaping to work. And I love it more than I did when I left it two years ago because I no longer have to hide behind taking on more responsibility than necessary (once I realized I have nothing to hide). Cannot, however, eat pizza without getting whacky.

And I wanted to jot some funnyisms the kids are saying or doing:

-Rachel asked why Auntie Filippa put her head down on the casserole at my grandpa's funeral.

-Lloyd talks about the generators generating so much that he found himself amusingly calling them 'the genny.'

-Oh, this morning, as usual Lloyd came to snuggle with me for awhile. He was quiet once he left me so I knew something wasn't right. I laid in bed trying to make out the smacking/slurping sound from the kitchen ... I had left a pack of gum on the table. Breakfast was one of a kind for Lloyd today, and I'm out like 10 pieces of gum.

-Lloyd says basemp for basement ... I were for I was ... skerl for squirrel ... flone for phone ... pickle for toothpick ... shut down (for shut up) and oh man or oh God. Not knowing what God was, I told him God was his smile.

-Dallas says pretty sky ... the vowels in "outside" ... bear for bird ... and he dances like Happy Feet.

(If you didn't get what Auntie Filippa really put her head down on, it was the casket.)

*My title: My grandma used to make this dessert she called Stuff. Stuff had marshmallows.
