Oh my, yesterday was hilarious. I was a queen bitch, in general, mad at all sorts of everyone's quirks including my own, and watching Sofia Coppola's Marie Antoinette. (I love, love, love Sofia Coppola's movies [Lost in Translation and Virgin Suicides besides]. She uses her femininity in her storytelling ... really taps into her inner child.) I didn't take myself seriously because I knew something was up--the thing that comes monthly. Difference this month was, why so moody? Answer: no accompanying headache to focus on, cushion all the blows, blame dissatisfactions on ("perk" from the water-drinking). And my boss called at 4:00 asking me to work. I'd have to leave at 4:30 to get there by 5:00. I checked with Aaron to see if he was planning a meeting but cut him off to tell my boss yes I'd gladly like to leave these people and my self behind for awhile to work. Anyway he's paying me more than he did before but under the table. Hard to refuse, plus the job is cake, and this girl likes but deprives herself of real cake. So, I lined my eyes because makeup artist Bobbi Brown says eye contact is made easier with confidently-lined eyes*. My eyes do pierce when made-up. I try to get the customer to order what their heart truly wants to eat. Only kidding. I just like to look good, and makeup helps. I love makeup. Here's how to do it, a post I have wanted to share for some time:

*HOW TO MAKE MEN STUPID IN FIVE MINUTES ... with makeup~

~Moisturize.
~Conceal under eyes, down the bridge of nose, inside and outside eyes, and on blemishes/pimples (Buy yourself a good concealer! I use a Lancome yellow stick liquid.)
~I don't use foundation, but if you do, put it in places unconcealed. Bobbi Brown says yellow tones work for everyone.
~Powder concealed parts (or those with foundation) to set.
~Smile and circle just the apples with blush. Just the apples!
~Brush brows and add a little more color to them with pencil eyeliner. Do it.
~Darken lids for evening (with lighter shade above if necessary). Put a whitish powder or shadow under brow and inside and outside eyes (just a little or skip this step).
~Line eyes all the way to the inside corner (the outside corner is not important and looks silly emphasized). I don't line bottoms, but if you do, do to the inside corner too. Eye-lining may take you over the five-minute mark :)
~Mascara outward not up. Dig the brush near the lid for eyeliner effect. Put a second coat for additional sexy :)
~Powder lips. Line with darker lipstick on brush. Blend lighter shade inside that with brush, and even lighter highlight inside that. I'm not a huge fan of lip color. I like Burt's Bees Lip Shimmer for a little pizzazz.
~I heard there is a spray to set your makeup. I never tried.

~HAVE FUN!
