2007-09-05 9:58 AM Cold, Hi, and more dry Previous Entry :: Next Entry Read/Post Comments (5) Laundry for a family of five is like weather. You have to take what you get and try not to think about it too much. It is always there, with much opportunity to get used to it.
There's the sudden laundry storm. Where did all that come from? The overcast chance of doing laundry. The pleasant day of ignoring the laundry. The perfect day where the laundry is done and put away (extremely rare). And the stay-in-the-house-all-day laundry day, which is the forecast for today. Dallas is even concerned about the strange noise he heard coming from the basement. That's when you know the laundry is out of hand, when the washing machine sound is unrecognizable to the best tiny sensor--explanation comparable to that of thunder and lightning. I am notorious for folding everything and dressing us from the piles of clothes dotting my room. I have my excuses. The drawers are too full and I should streamline them ... the kids could probably use a playground trip ... worrying about my husband for so long turned me unorganized ... admitted but unaccepted laziness ... the weather.
