2007-10-08 3:19 PM Grandma Liggy Previous Entry :: Next Entry Read/Post Comments (7) Grandma "Liggy" Lillian has passed. And I do believe that even the American Indian family that gave her up to her Jewish husband years ago is moved. She was that pure.
Her couch was covered, her doggy important Her cat got to sleep on the table Birthday cards: she hand delivered them months late Met by greater smiles than if given on time What an innocent plan! Her opinions she spoke kindly If not by the calmness of her voice then by her real hugs And she didn't always think before she spoke She gave her basement to her husband for his tropical fish and door-to-door sales, her yard to his fetish for a golf course lawn And her cheek sometimes, because his opinions and hugs were like hers She fed the birds and squirrels, had old house plants, and raised two of the most personable people I've ever met And her phone calls were for hello, how are you, how are the kids, how is her grandson, and goodbye.
