The air feel cleared? Not to me either. I was sort of OK with it--he's a big boy--but I asked him not to be drunk, or at least I didn't care to see it. Strike One: His drinking made him delusional and he "started with me" about something insane while I was at work. Strike Two: He called back and asked me to buy him more beer. Loser. Strike Three: He was quite drunk when I got home. Then ... Strike One: He hadn't washed the dishes, which he normally would have and there were a lot. Strike Two: He didn't take out the garbage. Again, a usual task for him. Strike Three: He "misunderstood" my choice to not hang out with him in that state and wanted to argue about it. Yeah, that's two strike-outs in a row. I called his dad and he's planning to give him a piece of his mind today. I sort of feel bad about it, but my husband has the potential to fall off the deep end and his dad would play stand-in dad to my kids should it happen. He rather likes being their grandpa, and is just as sick of all this as I am. Then I told the drunk off. Pretty civilly, but still. I told him how it is, boy. I'm sure it would have made an impact if he had been awake to hear it. So, the air is quite thick today. Sucky. Read/Post Comments (2) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
