I am so sick of all the disillusioned Catholics especially, affirming their faith in Jesus like they're showing off their private parts to everyone. Basically by doing so they are protecting themselves and halting anyone getting close to them--Stand Back At Least 10 Feet! When they say they believe in Jesus and Christian teachings because that's how they were raised--and that's about all they know of their religion--they are also saying what a bigot they are and how they have not one iota of respect for anyone else's ideas. I mean, fine, if it works for you, great. There's no need to advertise your faith by regurgitating the things you were taught, having never explored other avenues as the answer to all questions concerning Why. If someone goddamn asks about your religion because they are considering it maybe, then by all means talk. Saying shit you don't even know the context of is like waving a red flag of stupidity--not even conformity, because some conformists know to shut up about it. My instructor asks interesting questions about pondering the meaning of life and suffering, for example, and a number of classmates, probably not even churchgoers (I know, I was once a lamb of god), have never gone there, if you know what I mean, and just spit out the same bogus shit about Jesus and god with a capital G and fucking capitalized heaven and, one even said, the fires of hell! You really wander about in this same life as me thinking heaven and hell are places for the afterlife?! People, dear people, what might happen in the afterlife is unfortunate for you. You see, what it could be is the realization of things you could have discovered while living but instead you turned a blind eye and adopted this Jesus character as your savior; which I don't understand, you don't understand, and you certainly don't exercise the decency to humbly hush up about and listen to other people. A mitten fell off. Read/Post Comments (1) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
