There was one mom who took to the ice in her shoes to retrieve my crying son. I hate to call all of them nobodies. It just sucks that people are so folded into their busy lives, me included, to help each other, to be a community. I do appreciate those who helped me today, because this just happens to be a time of closure for me, a time of taking sufferings down the big drain. Kindness of others is just what I need to renew me (I also needed the Ice Queen to make me cry, I suppose). The woman with the courage to break the rule knew I needed her help. She was great. She even took her two older kids out of school for the morning to join her little one for skating. The Tao reminds of soft overcoming hard. Water, warm salty tears, overcoming ice. Best overcoming good.
