To the Editors,

During the 2000 campaign George Bush promised to restore integrity and honor to the White House.

With new data indicating that Karl Rove leaked Valerie Plame's name President Bush retreats from his pledge to get to the bottom of the issue [1]. Considering that the White House has crafted an image of President Bush as "The War President" it is difficult to reconcile his 2000 campaign pledge with his current behavior.

Given that the threat of WMD (if not from Iraq) is a real threat to our security, while it's understandable that the left relishes the prospect of a Karl Rove 'perp' walk, the real issue which should concern us all is why this President tolerates efforts which undermine our National Security?

The secondary issue which should concern all true patriots is why more conservatives are not outraged by this given their 'realist' approach to Homeland Security?
