Katrina: Tax cuts for the rich or not?

As some of ya'll might know, the R's had planned to schedule a vote this week (or next?) to make the repeal of the estate tax permanent.

As I'm sure they were loath to do they postponed this due to the unseemly spectable of voting for more tax cut for the wealthy while the toll - human and financial - of Katrina was (and is) still being reported.

But they haven't stated unequivocally that it's off the table - despite some suggestions that the Fed outlays for related to Katrina will top $150 billion.
