2006-09-30 6:13 PM Aaahhh, Aruba! Previous Entry :: Next Entry Read/Post Comments (2) Aruba was, as always, amazing. We've been twice before, and each time we've gone has been fantastic. Lying in the sun, sipping frozen beverages, watching the big fluffy clouds go by. I dig it.
The weather was predictably lovely - almost always mid-80s and sunny. Although it rained once, the sun was still out, so we stayed by the pool until we got too chilly, and then went inside for drinks. Here is a typical day: ![]() In between Pina Coladas, we did Sea Trek , where you walk along the bottom of the Caribbean Sea wearing special breathing helmets. There are scuba divers following you taking pictures (and to ensure you don't freak out or drown). Check us out!! ![]() It was so cool - there were fish all around us, and a sunken airplane, and more fish, and a sunken bus, and even more fish! ![]() Unfortunately, the rest of the week was spent out in the sun; there was an area of the pool that had lounge chairs in it, which was very comfortable, but resulted in this: ![]() OW! And yes, we did use sunblock. That Caribbean sun, man. It's treacherous. So other than being completely scorched, I had an awesome time and highly recommend Aruba as THE vacation spot for fun in the sun (where fun=ultimate relaxation).
