Okay, I'm not a Britney Spears fan (although I do enjoy watching the video for "Toxic"), but come on, people, let's stop trying to crucify her, shall we? It's getting old.

She's a young girl, behaving how a young girl behaves, let alone a young girl who's been in the center of an 8-year media storm beginning in her teens.

What's her latest crime? Needing help leaving a club on New Year's Eve, probably (but not confirmed) because she had been drinking.

Oh my god, she might have gotten drunk on New Year's Eve! The horror! How could ANYONE get DRUNK on New Year's Eve?!? NO ONE thinks about imbibing alcohol on such an occasion!

And even if it's true what was reported -- that her manager said she was just tired and falling asleep -- WHY IS THAT NEWS??? Jesus, if you gave me a dollar for every time I got sleepy in a bar, I'd be writing this from my own private island in the Pacific instead of from Brooklyn.

Come on, folks. We have more important things to worry about. Like whether or not Brad and Angelina are going to adopt 12 more kids so they can start their own rugby team.
