That just about says it all, hmmm? Have a terrible cold and am off to work anyway. What a trooper. (Mexico, I do this for you!)

I finished SHOW WORLD last night, and I'm still thinking about it. I loved reading it, and it's a very funny book (in the blackest way), and I'm still figuring out exactly how I feel about it. (But I highly recommend it, no doubt.) It will make you fear Los Angeles; there has never been a more savage Los Angeles than the one in the book, heightened, hyper, beyond belief sleaze Los Angeles. Well, and Washington, D.C., doesn't get off easy either, and was probably my favorite part of the book.

Kage Baker's THE ANVIL OF THE WORLD is a delight. Having never read any of her work prior, I'm just loving this. It is the perfect book for a terrible cold.

And thank you, my dear Kelly, the sweater fits perfectly and is the perfect terrible cold (well, or perfectly fine feeling, actually) sweater.
